Cerakote Ordering Process
 
Step 1: Choose Your Colors
 
Visit the official Cerakote website and select the color or colors you want.
Write down the complete color name and Cerakote product code for every color you select.

Step 2: Choose Your Design

Decide whether you want a solid color, two-tone finish, camouflage pattern, battle-worn finish or custom design.
Browse the Cerakote Project Gallery for ideas. Save screenshots, photos or links that show the style you want.
Reference photos will be used for inspiration. Exact duplication of another project may not always be possible due to differences in firearm shape, size and available working space.

Step 3: Submit Your Project Information

Contact us with the following information:

  • Your name and contact information

  • Firearm make and model

  • Parts or components being coated

  • Cerakote color names and product codes

  • Preferred design or pattern

  • Reference photos, screenshots or links

  • Logos, names or custom artwork

  • Any special instructions

Please clearly explain which color should be applied to each part.

Step 4: Receive Your Quote

We will review your project and provide a quote.
Pricing is based on:

  • Number of parts

  • Number of colors

  • Complexity of the design

  • Surface preparation required

  • Condition of the firearm or components

  • Disassembly and reassembly requirements

  • Custom stencil or artwork requirements

All quotes are estimates until the firearm or components have been inspected.

Step 5: Approve the Project

Before work begins, you will approve the selected colors, design and estimated price.
A deposit may be required for custom projects, special-order colors or detailed design work.
Changes requested after the project has started may result in additional charges and longer completion times.

Step 6: Bring In or Ship Your Project

Local customers may bring their firearm or components directly to our store.
Contact us before shipping any serialized firearm. We will provide the correct shipping instructions and confirm all required information.
Do not ship a firearm without speaking with us first.

Step 7: Production and Final Inspection

Your project will be prepared, coated, cured and inspected.
We will contact you when your project is completed and ready for pickup or return shipment.

Pricing
Prices vary depending on the firearm, number of parts, number of colors, design complexity and preparation required.
Website prices and verbal estimates are starting points only. Final pricing may change after the firearm or components have been inspected.
Turnaround Time
Turnaround times vary based on current workload, project complexity, color availability and the condition of the firearm.
Estimated turnaround time begins after we receive all parts, approve the design and receive any required deposit.
Complex designs and custom artwork may require additional time.
Color Variations
Cerakote colors may look different depending on lighting, screen settings, surface preparation, application method and finish level.
Exact matches to photographs, computer images or previously completed projects cannot be guaranteed.
Custom Designs
Reference images are used for inspiration unless the customer owns or has permission to reproduce the submitted artwork.
Some designs may need to be adjusted to fit the size and shape of the firearm or component.
We reserve the right to decline any design or artwork.
Firearm Condition
Rust, corrosion, damage, existing coatings or difficult disassembly may result in additional preparation charges.
Customers should inform us of any known mechanical issues, aftermarket modifications or damaged components before work begins.
Disassembly and Reassembly
Additional charges may apply when we are required to disassemble or reassemble a firearm.
Small parts, springs, pins, optics and accessories should be identified before the firearm is dropped off.
Legal Compliance
All firearm drop-offs, pickups, transfers and shipments must comply with applicable federal, state and local laws.
A valid government-issued photo ID may be required when dropping off or picking up a serialized firearm.

Vector artwork such as AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF is preferred when available. High-resolution PNG files may also be accepted.
